This is a highly controversial pickup.You can google it, read about it, etc.Seymour Duncan custom shop built this pickup to simulate Eddie's old PAF... it has single braid wire, so the outside metal wire cover is the ground, and the tiny black wire lead at the end goes to your pickup switch.It is a super high quality and unique pickup. It's not as high output as you might think... it was made to work and get the brown sound with a cranked amp, so the output from what I read is around 9 ohms, which will give you a crystal clear tone and when pushed an amazing and warm overdrive sound.I changed it out for something that matched my neck pickup more, plus this is made more for a les paul bridge than my guitar.If you have a Les Paul, PRS or similar guitar and like to play loud and get a super warm overdrive... this is your miracle pickup.Pickup was recently installed in a guitar that I just bought and I traded it out for something that matches my neck pickup.
