Fund Accountant

This position will support the Fund Services team by overseeing fund accounting and fund administration for our clients private investments, in the following activities:? Review of accounting work papers (including, but not limited to, general ledgers, trial balances, partner/investor allocations, computations of management and incentive fees, investor statements and supporting documentation, as well as internally prepared financial statements, supplements and management reporting schedules) for hedge funds, funds of funds and direct real estate investing SPVs, as prepared by our client's external fund administrator ? Assist in the monitoring of the application of fund accounting, operational and compliance policies in accordance with the respective investment governing documents? Review of accounting work papers (including, but not limited to, general ledgers, trial balances, partner/investor allocations, computations of management and incentive fees, investor statements and supporting documentation, as well as internally prepared financial statements, supplements and management reporting schedules) for hedge funds, funds of funds and direct real estate investing SPVs, as prepared by our client's external fund administrator? Assist other Fund Services team members with the population and reconciliation of an internal fund of funds investment tracking and management system (Backstop)? Annually, coordinate external audits with multiple audit firms, including preparation and review of GAAP audited financial statements;? Liaison with WHI fund tax department? Accounting and generation of financial statements and budget reports for a private foundation, including preparation of supplemental reports for semi-annual board meetings? Quarterly, prepare and execute fund expense reimbursements to adviser? Assist in special projects, as identified.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be a high integrity, self-driven individual with:? A bachelor's degree in Accounting accompanied with a CPA and external audit experience? 5-10 years of professional experience in an accounting or auditing capacity working with alternative investment funds;? A team orientation, flexibility, and the ability to work well under pressure? An ability to focus on and simultaneously complete a variety of tasks with competing deadlines and importance? Good judgment and discretion? Outstanding organizational skills? Strong computer skills - including a facility for general ledger systems and Excel?
