1946 Ford Other Super Deluxe

I am reluctantly selling my 1946 Ford Tudor sedan. It has taken me a while to finish, and I love how it turned out, but other interests force me to sell it. It is a bona-fide drag car that I have re-fitted as a safe and reliable street rod. But I will let you in on a little secret- it still has the drag engine in it!- A wild 383 small block Chevy stroker with all of the goodies- aluminum heads, domed pistons, mechanical cam, Edelbrock high rise, and a brand new Holley Ultra 750 Double pumper! Holley fuel pump under the trunk, and an MSD module under the dash controls the spark. Topped off with tall Edelbrock valve covers, new headers and turbo mufflers, with 3" turn outs. It sounds mean, even at idle! Here is the story- I purchased the car as a race-only drag car, with plans to run it on the street. It had no interior- save for a Kirkey racing seat- it was stripped for the drag strip. I set about to change all that according to my taste. I installed 4 bucket seats- the two white buckets in the back are vintage GM high-backs from the 70's, and two brand new tomato red racing buckets up front. I wanted to keep with the rat rod style, so I used highly reflective orange street signs for the door and interior panels, as well as vintage tin signs for kick panels, and lots of old license plates, topped off with a faux snake skin headliner! The cars construction for the drag strip was not some backyard hack-job, but it was fabricated by a shop in Rhode Island during the winter some time ago.It was a long-term shop project for the entire crew to add their touch- and it shows! Welds are neat and straight, and all metal fabrication is very sanitary. A full 6 point roll cage ties the entire car together from the back seat all the way to the radiator, making the car rigid and safe. The stock Ford frame was reinforced in several places, with the addition of a 4-link rear suspension, ladder bars, coil-overs and a Ford 9" rear, including disc brakes. Gear ratio is 3.90:1, making it just right for street cruising. Up front is a 2nd generation Camaro clip- with power steering and disc brakes, for an entirely modern set-up. The car drives and stops straight and true, and is a pleasure to take out and cruise. I added the gasser style Moon tank up front for that total nostalgic dragster look!. Here is your chance to own a very unique vehicle- its at home on the drag strip, holds its own at the car shows, as well as a stand-out on cruise night! And if you want to show off in front of your friends at the Burger Barn, it still has the line-lock installed, so you can smoke the tires! Of course I am including a set of slicks mounted on wheels for visits to the track- just swap tires, uncork the headers, and you're ready for the 1/4 mile. This car is NOT for the faint of heart-there is no insulation or carpeting- and its a wild ride! -noisy, obnoxious, and the best fun you can have on the street! The motor screams like a banshee, and the car launches like a Saturn One rocket! For safety I have installed shoulder/lap belts, as well as a new 5 point harness for the driver.I have also installed a double-core aluminum radiator with a t-stat electric fan, and the car runs at 180 degrees even on the hottest days.
