Construction Leader Needed for Growing Company in Chicago, IL

There is an immediate need for an accomplished individual that has been waiting for a challenging role in a rapidly expanding organization that has experienced 100 % growth rate over the last two years. This position is for the mover and shaker, not an individual that is comfortable with a status quo environment. This individual must be a LEADER, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. We?re seeking an experienced, goal oriented, self-starter who is passionate about success to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, you will be responsible for setting measurable standards of performance for each phase of our construction operations and measuring that performance against established goals. In conjunction with his/her staff, the COO will establish systems and procedures for reporting, project controls, account management and employee relations. The COO must display the highest level of organizational and communication skills and must be thoroughly versed in all facets of operations of a construction company, general contractor or design build firm. He/She must have a solid background in operations and be able to clearly communicate the company?s status and direction of staff. Qualifications Stable job history with construction firms; 10-15 years with construction companies, with at least 7 years as a construction leader managing projects in excess $50 million of construction value; Proven track record of performance in all areas of construction process; Proven track record in an executive leadership role in a construction enterprise; Demonstrated ability to maximize company profitability; Demonstrated ability to create a company culture consistent with the vision of the board; Ability to comfortably communicate both verbally and in written correspondence to other executives, project team members, consultants and partners.
