Associate Creative Director in Chicago, IL

My client located in Chicago is seeking an Associate Creative Director to join their team. Headquartered on the east coast, my client is a full-service agency dedicated to payer marketing serving clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is responsible for the overall supervision of the agencyS creative product, both design and copy. The Associate Creative Director interfaces between the client, the account executive,and the creative department. The Associate Creative Director is responsible for taking the strategic marketing plan and turning it into the big idea.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages the creative department (art director, studio, freelancers). Works closely with account services to solve marketing problems through smart, well-designed advertising and collateral materials that help sell the product and maintain a good image for clients and the agency. Attends creative input meetings to help develop creative strategies and implements all creative qualifications including copy, layout, illustrations, final art, and photography. Confirms client review and delivery schedules with account staff and assigns jobs to creative team. May be involved in presenting concepts to client In concert with production manager, selects vendors for jobs and reviews final art, color proofs, blue lines, and press proofs. Has oversight on selection and management of all freelance services. Is responsible for interviewing and screening candidates for creative positions.
