1982 Baldwin Grand Piano Model L 6'3 w/ Studio Bench - OBO (Prospect Heights in Chicago, IL

Up for sale is a six feet 3 Baldwin Grand Piano with Studio Bench manufactured in 1982. The serial number can be referenced to approx 1982 according to bluebookofpianos.com. The piano was made in the USA several years before Baldwin lost its foothold on the market and started producing pianos overseas. The piano has a beautiful mahogany finish to which I have been maintaining with Steinway furniture conditioner and polish. The polish is noted for the absence of the harmful oils found in most furniture polishes. The piano's soundboard is constructed of solid maple wood. There are no significant dents, gashes, etc., although there are a few cosmetic scratches and chips in the varnish due to general wear over the years.The inside of the piano as well as the action have been cleaned thoroughly with an air compressor to remove years of dust and dirt. The action, strings, and hammers are in good working condition and the piano has been tuned twice since being purchased over a year ago. The pinblock is in terrific condition and can hold a tune well. I've recently had a professional tuner perform 5 hours of regulation to the action which helped restore tone and give life back to the keys. It is a joy to play.
